An analysis of your education, training and experience will enable you to identify and create promising home business ideas.

First, recognize that brainstorming is hard work. But it may be the most profitable work that you ever do!

You need some quiet time, away from all distractions.You may need to get away from home. Brainstorming may take a week, a month or several months, but when you get this right other things will come more easily.

Whip out a clean legal pad, have a separate page for each of the following.

All of your education, all your training, all your work experience, all your hobbies, all your interests, and all your potential interests, and how you spend your leisure time. List these for both adult members of the family.

Hidden in there is the home business idea that is right for you, that you have some knowledge about, and feel comfortable talking or writing about. But does anyone want to buy? And how much competition is there?

There is no other way that I know of that you can identify your business and ideas, Research the supply and demand so quickly, so easily, and so cheaply!!!

Cart Before the Horse

At times, you will be shocked at how little demand there is for a potential idea that you think is great. It is widely considered that starting with the product that you want to sell, and then looking for a market to buy it, is the #1 mistake people make online. The second biggest mistake is lack of action.

Remember people go online to search for solutions to problems, not to buy things. So sell them what they are looking for, not what you think you want to sell.

Incidentally, you do not need to a computer pro to do this. Many programs will lead you step by step. You can supplement this locally. Teens and/or college students are ready, capable and willing to help you. Don't forget about Jr colleges. Many would like to get involved.
